The photos quickly went viral, with fans debating whether the teen resembles his father, Brad Pitt, his mother, or even his grandparents.

Fans were quick to notice how much Knox has grown, with one netizen commenting, “Taller than her wow 😮 time flies [sic],” while another comment pointed out his resemblance to multiple members of his A-list family. “The kid looks like his grandfather John Voight,” a fan wrote on Instagram.

The conversation continued on Facebook, where someone declared, “Spitting image of his dad,” with another chiming in, “Now in this picture he favors Brad a little bit more to me.” Some comments went further down the family tree, as a fan wrote, “And more his grandfather Jon Voigt [sic].”

Meanwhile, on TikTok, reactions were just as passionate. One netizen said, “Looks just like his beautiful mother❤️,” while another added, “Those eyes! My goodness. ❤️” A few even joked about the genetic mix, “The Jolie genes are strong,” and “Brads [sic] genes didn’t even try.”

Knox’s public appearance comes amid a time of visible change within the Jolie-Pitt family. His older sister, Shiloh Jolie, recently made headlines after legally dropping “Pitt” from her name.

According to Fox News, the eighteen-year-old has adopted the name Shiloh Jolie and is using the name “Shi Jolie” professionally. The 18-year-old debuted the new name when she launched her career as a choreographer during the unveiling of French designer Isabel Marant’s capsule collection, in partnership with Net-A-Porter.

She began using the stage name not long after she filed to drop her father’s name from her last name following her eighteenth birthday in May 2024. Shiloh’s decision mirrors a trend among her siblings. Vivienne Jolie was also recently credited without the “Pitt” surname in a Broadway production, “The Outsiders.”

Shiloh and Vivienne’s sister, Zahara Jolie, has also introduced herself publicly without using her father’s last name. She introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” during her induction into her sorority at Spelman College.

A source close to Brad revealed the actor’s reaction when Shiloh changed her name:

“He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter. The reminders that he’s lost his children is [sic], of course, not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad.”

The actress, who shares Shiloh, Knox, Vivienne, and Zahara with Brad, filed for divorce in 2016 after two years of marriage and over a decade together. The split came after she accused him of physically harming her and their children during a flight. Brad denied the allegations, and after an investigation by the FBI, no charges were brought against him.
